Dumitru Duduman
and the LGM-118A Peacekeeper MX Missile

Dumitru Duduman (1932-1997) was a Romanian
Christian prophet, whom the LORD sent to America to warn especially the American
Christians of God's plan to judge America's sins, i.e.,
"'The Russian spies have discovered
where the nuclear warehouses are in America. When the Americans will think that it
is peace and safety - from the middle of the country, some of the people will start
fighting against the government. The government will be busy with internal problems.
Then from the ocean, from Cuba, Nicaragua, Mexico...' (He told me two other countries,
but I didn't remember what they were.) '...they will bomb the nuclear warehouses.
When they explode, America will burn!'"

"Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon [the United States of America], make
the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both
devised and done that which He spake against the inhabitants of Babylon" (Jeremiah 51:12). Though it is accurate to designate
the One World Church as the "Babylon the
Great" (Revelation 18:2) that is
destroyed in Revelation 18, it is not a misappropriation to view the judgment of
America as a precursor fulfillment of the Revelation 18 destruction. "2 And
he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the Great is fallen, is fallen,
and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a
cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication,
and the kings of the Earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants
of the Earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies... 5 For her sins have reached unto Heaven,
and God hath remembered her iniquities... 8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning,
and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the LORD God

Unfortunately, the only measure of a modern prophet most often applied today is that
of the accuracy of predicting any given date, rather than the purpose of the prophet's
message. For example, Jonah prophesied the sure destruction of Nineveh, saying, "Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown" (Jonah 3:4)-- with the result that Nineveh repented!
"And God saw their works, that they turned
from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that He had said that He would
do unto them; and He did it not" (Jonah 3:10). [Please see our article, "How

37:17) can RIGHTLY NOT come to pass.] "When will America burn?" Duduman
asked the LORD in prayer. "But, beloved,
be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the LORD as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day" (2Peter 3:8).
"Tell the people of America that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. If they will repent and turn back to God, they will make it through the second day to the third day. If they don't, they will not make it," responded the angel. "After two days [2,000 year Church Age] will He revive us [Israel, at the Second Coming of Christ]: in the third day [the Millennium] He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight" (Hosea 6:2). In Duduman's April 22nd 1996 prophecy, "China and Russia Strike" ---New Window, Duduman was told,
"When America goes to war with China, the Russians will strike without warning... But everything I've shown you is how it will REALLY happen. You must tell them what is being planned against America. Then, when it comes to pass, the people will remember the words the Lord has spoken."
"And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will
come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them" (Ezekiel 33:33).
The Peacekeeper
On July 22nd 2001, CNN reported:
"U.S. President George W. Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed to tie U.S. plans for building a missile defence shield to talks on reducing nuclear stockpiles... Bush directed the Pentagon to consider further cuts in nuclear stockpiles, and has suggested he would be willing to go ahead with reductions without comparable cuts by Russia [WStS emphasis]."
In December 1986, the United States Air Force deployed what still
remains to be its newest, land-based, strategic, first strike, nuclear asset, the
LGM-118A Peacekeeper MX missile. Initially, it was designated Missile-X; however,
the MX name stuck even after it was officially named the Peacekeeper. Its main operating
base is Francis E. Warren AFB at Cheyenne, Wyoming under the 90th Space Wing of Air
Force Space Command. With a fully operational squadron of 50 missiles, the Peacekeeper
is a four-staged ICBM capable of delivering 10 independently targeted warheads from
ground based cold launch into space at 15,000 miles per hour over a distance greater
than 6,000 miles. The Peacekeeper has an estimated service life of 20 years; but
still, START II (Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty)-- signed by Presidents George
Bush and Boris Yeltsin on January 3rd 1993, then ratified first by the U.S. Senate
on January 26th 1996 and subsequently by the Russian Duma on April 14th 2000-- provides
for the deactivation and dismantling of the LGM-118A Peacekeeper Missile System to
be completed by December 31st 2007. "They
have healed also the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, saying, Peace, peace;
when there is no peace" (Jeremiah 6:14).
START II
Full implementation of START II-- limiting both the U.S. and Russia to 3,000 to 3,500
nuclear warheads each-- will leave the United States with only 500 LGM-30 Minuteman
III ICBMs (land-based, "de-MIRV-ed" [multiple independently-targetable
reentry vehicle] from three warheads to one, last produced in December 1978) in its
Triad of nuclear weapon systems (land, bomber, and submarine-based). Though President
George W. Bush's discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, have made clear
that the purpose of America's planned missile defense system-- National Missile Defense
(NMD)-- is to protect against possible attacks by unpredictable nations such as North
Korea, Iran and Iraq, and not former U.S. Cold War foe Russia, Putin said that installing
multiple nuclear warheads on existing missiles "is
the cheapest response." Additionally, Beijing argues that
a regionalized version of the layered NMD-- Theater Missile Defense-- may be employed
to protect Taiwan from Chinese missiles pointed at it. The 1972 ABM Treaty (Anti-Ballistic
Missile Treaty) limits the deployment of American and Russian anti-missile defenses,
and would be scrapped, says Putin, if NMD proceeds. Thus, Putin warns that Bush's
prosecution of NMD would force Russia into an arms race and would effectively scrap
all previous arms limitation agreements. In Putin's remarks to the Duma to persuade
them to ratify START II, he said,
"If the United States decides to destroy the 1972 ABM Treaty… we will withdraw not only from the START II treaty but also the whole system of treaties on limitation and control of strategic and conventional weapons" (excerpted from "Russia Ratifies START II, Extension Protocol; ABM-Related Agreements Also Approved" by Philipp C. Bleek in "Arms Control Today" May 2000).
On July 16th 2001, Chinese President Jiang Zemin and his Russian
counterpart Vladimir Putin signed an alliance, the "Good Neighbourly Treaty
of Friendship and Co-operation", boosting mutual Russian and Chinese economic
interests and fiercely opposing America's planned NMD. Ironically, the NMD is admittedly
limited in its protective effectiveness, e.g., remember that the Patriot missiles
deployed in Israel met with only limited success during the Persian Gulf War, and,
as of mid-July 2001, American anti-missile tests have achieved only two out of four
successes of the missile intercept system. With only the greatest difficulty, can
the NMD be viewed as upsetting the "global
strategic balance", as pronounced by the Beijing government,
when it clearly spelled out its opposition to NMD.
"Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not
go" (Proverbs 22:24).
Nuclear Winter
Modern nuclear doctrine is based upon the premise that a Nuclear War between the
U.S. and Russia would devastate the Earth. Dean Babst, in his article for the Nuclear
Age Peace Foundation, "Preventing an Accidental Nuclear Winter", presented
the following position for abolishing nuclear weapons:
"In a study made by the World Health Organization, they found that a nuclear war between the U.S. and Russia could kill one billion people outright. In addition, it could produce a Nuclear Winter that would probably kill an additional one billion people. It is possible that more than two billion people, one-third of all the humans on Earth would be destroyed almost immediately in the aftermath of a global thermonuclear war. The rest of humanity would be reduced to prolonged agony and barbarism. These findings are from a study chaired by Sune K. Bergstrom (the 1982 Nobel laureate in physiology and medicine) nearly 20 years ago."
For this reason, scientists most often support nuclear disarmament, and lobby politicians to exceed the present limits of START II-- going beyond the simple decommissioning of the Peacekeeper missiles and its Russian SS-18 and SS-24 counterparts.
PDD 60
Little known to the current discussion of the NMD is the significance of a top secret,
extremely sensitive 1997 Presidential Decision Directive (PDD/NSC 60 Nuclear Weapons
Employment Policy Guidance, November 1997)-- the actual text of this document is
still classified, but has been reported in the Washington Post, the Christian
Science Monitor, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, Arms Control
Today, etc. PDD 60 is a series of detailed nuclear attack options for the Post-Cold
war period, specifically in light of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction
(WMD) in the Third World-- specifying that the U.S. will continue the doctrine
of not relying on "launch on warning" and eliminating previous Cold War rhetoric of "winning
a protracted nuclear war." According to Craig Cerniello
in his article, "Clinton Issues New Guidelines on U.S. Nuclear Weapons Doctrine"

"The Clinton administration quietly made a significant change in the U.S. strategic nuclear doctrine in November by formally abandoning guidelines issued by the Reagan administration in 1981 that the United States must be prepared to fight and win a protracted nuclear war... [Robert] Bell [Senior Director for Defense Policy and Arms Control at the National Security Council] emphasized that 'there is no change in this PDD with respect to U.S. policy on launch on warning and that policy is that we do not, not rely on it.' In fact, Bell said 'in this PDD we direct our military forces to continue to posture themselves in such a way as to not rely on launch on warning—to be able to absorb a nuclear strike and still have enough force surviving to constitute credible deterrence... Our policy is to confirm that we are under nuclear attack with actual detonations before retaliating,' he said."
"For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a
voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace" (Jeremiah
30:5).
What is the Modern Christian Response to the Threat of Nuclear War?
Conclusion
The decommissioning of the LGM-118A Peacekeeper MX missile is not only significant
to scientists and politicians worldwide, who are interested in Nuclear Non-Proliferation,
but it is a sign of the times to the Watching and Waiting Christians that our "Redemption draweth nigh"
(Luke 21:28). It is much later than most people think, who
are busy about surviving or enjoying life. "The
night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness,
and let us put on the armour of Light" (Romans
13:12). At times, it is necessary for the Living God to illustrate
to us the True Reality of our spiritual circumstances by giving to us a tangible
symbol, i.e., the deactivation of the LGM-118A Peacekeeper MX missile, to warn us
of God's intentions towards the United States of America. "For
the time is come that Judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin
at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the Gospel of God?" (1Peter 4:17). Just as the Peacekeeper missile represented
the concept of nuclear deterrence during the Cold War, its demise represents the
soon Judgment of a nation, which is awash in the pleasures of sin. "If My people, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from
Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"
(2Chronicles 7:14). But, it appears that the LORD Jesus Christ
must lament over America, as He did over Jerusalem. "34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,
which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would
I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings,
and ye would not! 35
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate" (Luke
13:34-35).
Dumitru Duduman laboured to bring the warning of judgment to American Christians.
Even as the Apostle Paul bore in his "body
the marks of the LORD Jesus" (Galatians 6:17), i.e., scars that evidenced his stonings for the cause of Christ, Dumitru
Duduman was tortured for months, receiving nine cracked ribs from the Communist Romanian
police. Duduman was given as a warning to American Christians to repent and return
to holiness. "17
Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto
the house of Israel: therefore hear the Word at My mouth, and give them warning from
Me. 18 When I say unto
the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest
to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall
die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 19
Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not
from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou
hast delivered thy soul. 20 Again,
When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I
lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning,
he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered;
but his blood will I require at thine hand. 21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous
man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because
he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul" (Ezekiel
3:17-21).

"Dumitru Duduman's burden as a modern prophet was similar to that of the LORD Jesus, i.e., how to benefit people, when you know today what will happen tomorrow. 'God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with Power: Who went about doing good' (Acts 10:38). Antichrist the man works with his evil cohort the Devil, devising and scheming to bring about Satan's own version of the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ, complete with Israel back in the Land of Promise along with its Temple; but, unbeknownst to this insidious cabal is that the Almighty ordains to use them 'to do whatsoever [His] hand and [His] Counsel determined before to be done' (Acts 4:28). 'Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee: the remainder of wrath shalt Thou restrain' (Psalm 76:10). The LORD prophesies through Duduman,
'Dark days are soon coming upon the earth. Days of mourning and great sadness.'"

Or, The Paradox of No Man Knows the Day or Hour

"And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and
lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern
the signs of the times?"
(Matthew 16:3).
"For any True Christian, knowing or not knowing the 'day
and hour' (Matthew 24:36) of Christ's return or of the
Pre-Tribulational Rapture, is truly a non-issue, compared to the destiny of the hypocrite,
who discerns not the 'signs of the times'
(Matthew 16:3). The real issue is Perfect Love, that is, 'Do we give to Christ
the obedience that demonstrates that we are His friends?' 'Ye
are My friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you' (John 15:14).
Contention over the whole topic of knowing or not knowing the day and hour of the
LORD's return, would vanish if our hearts were not embittered over disappointments
experienced, because the LORD Jesus delayed His coming. Again, 'for
the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:
though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry'
(Habakkuk 2:3). Allow the Sovereign God the time to work out
His purpose in completing the Body of Christ and working out His judgment of the
world. 'And all the inhabitants of the Earth are reputed as
nothing: and He doeth according to His will in the army of Heaven, and among the
inhabitants of the Earth: and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What doest
Thou?' (Daniel 4:35)."
