"Ah! We so easily forget Him, but He cannot so easily forget us. Jesus has engraved us upon His hands in the form of nail prints. It was for us that He bore The Cross. Our names are imprinted in His hands. Imagine for a moment that you had endured the cross and were left with scars in the palms of both hands. Every time you saw them you would remember. What does Jesus think of when He looks at those scars? 'Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands'. He thinks of us."

In Awe of Thy Word -study

The Book of Psalms, Chapter 119

"My heart standeth in awe of Thy WORD" (161).

Found in Psalm 119--

  • Synonyms for the "WORD(S)" of the LORD.
  • Bold words represent the benefits received from The WORD.
  • Italicized words represent the obedience given to The WORD.

Benefits are conditional to obedience, however, obedience given without love-- solely for the purpose of receiving benefits-- is NOT obedience at all (i.e., "My soul hath kept Thy TESTIMONIES; and I love them exceedingly" [167], "yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart" [34]).

In Christ Jesus:
The Sphere of the Believer's Life -study

New Window

A. T. Pierson

[1837-1811]

"THOSE three short words, in Christ Jesus, are, without doubt, the most important ever written, even by an inspired pen, to express the mutual relation of the believer and Christ. They occur, with their equivalents, over one hundred and thirty times. Sometimes we meet the expression, in Christ or in Christ Jesus, and again in Him, or in whom, etc. And sometimes this sacred name, or its equivalent pronoun, is found associated with other prepositions -- through, with, by; but the thought is essentially the same. Such repetition and variety must have some intense meaning. When, in the Word of God, a phrase like this occurs so often, and with such manifold applications, it can not be a matter of accident; there is a deep design. God's Spirit is bringing a truth of the highest importance before us, repeating for the sake of emphasis, compelling even the careless reader to give heed as to some vital teaching... We shall see a further evidence of the vital importance of the phrase, in Christ, in the fact that these two words unlock and interpret every separate book in the New Testament. Here is God's own key, whereby we may open all the various doors and enter all the glorious rooms in this Palace Beautiful, and explore all the apartments in the house of the heavenly Interpreter, from Matthew to the Apocalypse, where the door is opened into heaven. Each of the four gospel narratives, the book of the Acts, all of the epistles of Paul and Peter, James and John, and Jude, with the mysterious Revelation of Jesus Christ, show us some new relation sustained by Christ Jesus to the believer, some new aspect of Christ as his sphere of being, some new benefit or blessing enjoyed by him who is thus in Christ Jesus... To demonstrate and illustrate this is the aim of this study of the New Testament. And, for brevity's sake, it may be well to confine our examination to the epistles of Paul, from Romans to Thessalonians, which will be seen to bear to each other, and to the phrase we are studying, a unique and complete relation... The more we study the phrase and the various instances and peculiar varieties of such recurrence, the more shall we be convinced of its vital importance to all practical holy living." --A. T. Pierson

In God We Trust

"Faith in God Almighty is simple in concept and practice because the LORD is Absolute in every sense. He is easy to believe! And it is for this reason, that rejection of Him is the greatest crime of all. "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more" (Luke 12:48). And this quality of being Absolute, if received in faith, is not only the Greatest Blessing Of All, but also the easiest to obtain. "Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God MUST believe that He is, and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6)."

In the Third Day: The Fulfillment of Bible Prophecy
Or, An Exposition of Hosea 6:2 -study

New Window

9-4-2000

"After two days will He revive us: in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight"
(Hosea 6:2).

Does the Scripture give credence to those who believe a time frame may be calculated for prophetic events such as the Rapture of the Church or the Re-birth and Restoration of Israel to true faith in Jehovah? Historically, the prophet Daniel calculated the length of the Babylonian Captivity from Jeremiah's prophecy. "In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the Word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem" (Daniel 9:2). This author believes that such evidence has been available to the Church, through the prophecies of Hosea, to give us a credible time frame for the momentous events of prophecy that will close out this Church Age... The impending deliverance through the Pre-Tribulational Rapture of the Church, the ensuing judgments of the Tribulation Week, the subsequent Re-Birth and Restoration of the Nation of Israel to true faith in Jehovah, the Second Coming of the LORD Jesus Christ, and the Millennial Reign of the Messiah, are events of the greatest moment, but all can be manipulated by the Almighty, with greater ease than a child plays with a toy, or than a potter forms his clay. "5 Then the Word of the LORD came to me, saying, 6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in Mine hand, O house of Israel" (Jeremiah 18:5-6).

Intercession Promises: Casting The Net

"And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men" (Mark 1:17).
In "looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith" (Hebrews 12:2), we not only find Our Way, but The Way for others. And we will find that His "free Gift... the Gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many" (Romans 5:15). The souls of men are the reward of His increase. For if Jesus Christ is the Net with which we use to catch men, then they will be truly and eternally caught!

A Vision Of The Lost
by William Booth (1829 - 1912)
Founder of the Salvation Army
"On one of my recent journeys, as I gazed from the coach window, I was led into a train of thought concerning the condition of the multitudes around me. They were living carelessly in the most open and shameless rebellion against God, without a thought for their eternal welfare. As I looked out of the window, I seemed to see them all... millions of people all around me given up to their drink and their pleasure, their dancing and their music, their business and their anxieties, their politics and their troubles. Ignorant- willfully ignorant in many cases- and in other instances knowing all about the truth and not caring at all. But all of them, the whole mass of them, sweeping on and up in their blasphemies and devilries to the Throne of God. While my mind was thus engaged, I had a vision."

"Interpretation of 'Map' and 'Island of Rings'" - prophecy

New Window

Jeannette Loviette Vetter @ White Stones Ministeries ---New Window

1999

"The first dream demonstrated that a roadmap is imperative in order to find the way to heaven. We must determine our destination and then map our course. This means preparation leading to watchfulness and readiness... In the first dream we saw a narrow high golden bridge leading off into eternity to the glowing City of God. It is as if the first dream leads into the second dream which opened in the heavenly city where the bride, having been 'caught up' (raptured), is awaiting her marriage to the Lamb (Revelation 19:7). The first heavenly scene in the second dream expresses the outcome of those who make themselves ready and cross over the narrow bridge. Inside the city the bride is protected from what is taking place below on earth depicted by the second scene with the four horses of the apocalypse...

Jeannette found her friends in the dream -- who are still alive today -- in heaven before the great and terrible judgment began, indicating that they must have been raptured, i.e., caught up to heaven where they peacefully repose in God's house while the earth is judged and cleansed, while the prophesied indignation or wrath of God is completed. The implication is that prepared believers are blessed by missing the worst time that has ever been, according to Jesus.

Friend, don't let anyone steal your hope of being raptured because Jesus told us that "when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh" (Luke 21:28). Jesus repeats the refrain again two verses later: "So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand" (Luke 21:31)... Remember it has been emphasized that when the trumpet blows or the rapture occurs - BOOM!!! - there will be no more time to prepare. It's over! The thief has come and gone. Jesus has snatched away like a thief His ransomed bride, His legitimate prize, His pearl of great price which He sold all that He had, His precious life, to buy. Since He has paid the wages of sin, death, He only takes what belongs to Him, what He has purchased with His blood on the cross. Hence He is not a thief, He only comes as a thief -- silently, suddenly, and swiftly. Now is the time to prepare, to make sure of your election into the bridehood. Now is the time to search the Word to see if these things be so."

Interpretations - prophecy

Bob Neumann @ Bob's Home Page ---- New Window

The fall was great and the kings horses now come to restore the shattered system. The first is white, the second red, the third black, and the last a sickly yellow-green. They bring the ''men'' that the kings/princes of the world have waited a long time to send out into the world. They will not restore the shattered system, but because they bring a new system from out of the chaos and panic of the fall and splatter few will notice it isn't the same; but they will worship the first man/rider and follow him.

Is Faith the Only Condition for Eternal Salvation?
Or, The Biblical Doctrine of Justification by Faith -study

New Window

Tom Stewart

6-19-99

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath Everlasting Life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from Death unto Life"
(John 5:24).
Faith is anything but passive, for "by faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the Promises offered up his only begotten son" (Hebrews 11:17). Faith is so bound up in the Other Conditions for our Justification, that to knowingly omit those other conditions, would declare our faith to be dead. "Faith without works is dead" (James 2:26). All the Other Conditions of our Justification are part of Evangelical Faith and are conditions for Eternal Salvation. These conditions may properly be called the Works of Faith, such as, perseverance (which is a description of those who follow Jesus to Heaven). "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed" (John 8:31).
