The "Little Book". Both John the
Beloved Apostle and Ezekiel were instructed to eat a book (Ezekiel 3:1 cp. Revelation
10:9). The result of Ezekiel's eating of the scroll was his commission as a "watchman unto the house of Israel... [to]
give them warning from [the LORD]" (Ezekiel
3:17). Similarly, John will draw alongside the Remnant Church of the Tribulation
Saints to encourage them to persevere in love until Jesus shall shortly appear when
"we shall be like Him" (1 John3:2).
